Day 1 of the detox is all about fruits. You can eat as much and all kinds of fruits except bananas. Watermelons and cantaloupe are the best fruits to eat as they have the lowest calories.

Day 2 is all about the veggies. Eat all kinds of vegetables raw, cooked or steamed. Avoid vegetables that are filled with starch.



Day 3 to Day 7

Day 3 you can mix the fruits and vegetables all throughout to day 7. Some people tend to add a little more variety from day 4 such as a small amount of chicken or beef or add a soup.

Prior to the implementation of the 7 day detox, you have to minimise your intake of certain things such as coffee and gradually come to a stop because you might suffer from headaches if you just stop when your body is actually used to things such as caffeine.

After the detox, you will then start your diet. It is important for you to plan all your meals ahead. The objective is that you embark on a healthier lifestyle, eat at least five meals a day and only serve yourself a handful and a half at all meal times. Your body will get used to eating less food and it will become easier.

During the detox period, the first two days will seem like fun and you might feel like the detox is a walk in the park. On the other remaining days, it will become harder as your body will crave all the foods that it is used to and this may cause most to quit.

Try as hard as you can to complete the 7 days because the end result will be worth it. Your body will feel lighter and you will have lost a few kilos and have boundless energy.
