1. The Child Pose

The Child pose is the most comfortable pose in yoga. It helps relax and stretch your hips, quads and back. To do this all you need to do is kneel down with your knees about hip width apart on a yoga mat. While sitting on your knees, lean forward with your torso touching your thighs bringing your head to the mat. Stretch your arms out in front of you with your palms flat on the mat.

2. Downward-facing Dog

To perform this you have to be on both knees and hands, hip width apart while positioning your hands shoulder width apart. Start lifting knees and straightening your legs to get in position. Make sure your heels are all the way down and that you’ve moved your feet back and hands forward to lengthen your pose.

3. The Warrior II Pose

This great position helps stretch the hips, inner thighs, shoulders, and abdomen and strengthens quadriceps. In an upright standing position, keep feet apart and with your right foot facing forward, raise arms to shoulder length with palms facing the floor. To form a 90 degree angle, bend the right knee while tucking in your tailbone and holding your abdomen in for 5 deep breaths then release.

4. The Plank Pose

Tthe plank builds upper body strength by using only your body weight. Lean down and get in a push-up position with shoulders over wrists. 5. The Chair Pose

Improve your posture with the challenging but rewarding chair pose. Keep feet hip width apart, keep a stable base with your feet and bending the knees to sit back as if in a chair. Keep arms raised up with palms facing one-another. Hold core tight by pulling it back to keep the posture, hold the pose for 5 deep breaths, release, then repeat again.

6. The Tree Pose

Take a deep breath and centre yourself with this easy pose. Keep legs and feet together with your hands on your hips. Put all your weight on your left foot while bending your right knee and lifting your right foots sole to the inner thigh of your left leg. Raise your hands in a prayer position while breathing deeply.

7. The Garland Pose

8. The Boat Pose

Keep your arms in a straight forward position in sync with the floor. Keep your chest engaged and your chest high while straightening your legs. Keep for 5 breaths and repeat.

9. The Bridge Pose

Great energy booster that’s super fun and easy to do! Lay down flat on your back with your feet on the floor hip width apart. Place your arms beside you with your palms facing the floor. In a thrusting position lift your hips as high as you can with each breath while pressing into your feet as you go. Hold for 5-10 breaths, release then repeat three times.

10 . Seated Half Twist Pose

This pose helps improve digestion and the blood flow of the lower body. Sitting with outstretched legs, put the soles of your left foot over to the outside of your right hip and visa verse. Put your right hand behind your left hip to twist and do the same on the other side. Inhale and exhale 5-10 breaths then continue to opposite sides.
