1. Season’s Exercise
Finding it hard to squeeze in time to exercise between the Christmas shopping and family visits? Well you don’t need to spend an hour at the gym to stay in shape. Studies indicate that small doses of regular exercise, 10 to 20 minutes, can improve your mood and reduce anxiety. It also reduces your heart rate, blood pressure and raises levels of serotonin.
If you’re in the gym then why not exercise with supersets? This is when you have to do as many reps as possible for each exercise in one minute, moving from one to another without rest. After you’ve completed them rest for 90 seconds and repeat the circuit another 2 to 3 times. These exercises can include squat jumps, jumping jacks, side to side hops, lunges and burpees.
