Banana and Peanut Butter Smoothie Recipe

You will need:
2 bananas
2 cups of milk
½ a cup of peanut butter (get the crunchy peanut butter to add texture)
2 tablespoons honey (or add to taste)
2 cups of ice cubes

Place all the ingredients into a blender and whizz for +/- 30 seconds. Garnish with sliced banana on top with a sprinkle of nuts. For a cheat meal…a dollop of cream should do the trick

Makes 4 servings

Strawberry Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

You will need:
½ cup rolled oats
1 banana
Frozen strawberries
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp sugar

Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Garnish with a strawberry on top. For extra extravagance, dip the strawberry in chocolate, and add whipped cream.

Mojito Smoothie

You will need:
3 cups ice cubes
2 cups spinach leaves
1 can crushed pineapple
½ cup water
1 banana
1 orange (peeled and sliced)
10 fresh mint leaves
1 lemon (juiced)
1 lime (juiced)

Blend all ingredients until desired texture is achieved.
For garnish, add a few mint leaves. You can even get chocolate mint as a flavour variation.

Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe

You will need to make a pumpkin puree first before adding any ingredients to the blender. We love The Prairie Homestead’s recipe for pumpkin puree
Freeze your pumpkin puree into 470ml packets and use per smoothie serving

You will need:
470ml pumpkin puree (defrosted)
2 cups of milk
¼ cup of brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon

Defrost pumpkin puree
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. You can top it off with some roasted pumpkin seeds.
You can make a sweet variation topping, like a pumpkin cake would have, by adding a mixture of cheese cream and icing sugar on top for the “icing”.

Beet and Berry Smoothie Recipe

Enjoy this nutritious smoothie. Makes 1 serving

You will need:
1 cup spinach
1 beet, peeled and diced
½ cup plain Greek Yoghurt
½ cup frozen red raspberries
½ cup frozen blueberries
½ cup of ice cubes
4 slices cucumber

Add everything to your blender and mix until smooth.

Garnish with a beet leaf. For a more luxurious version and because red velvet cake often contains beet, make a cheese cream icing, and add a spoonful of it to your smoothie.
