Take a Hidden Journey with Trafalgar

Trafalgar have introduced smaller groups on their new Hidden Journeys style which are designed to take smaller groups deeper into the destinations and off the beaten track.

According to Trafalgar Managing Director Theresa Szejwallo, the new product is about access. “We have introduced selected trips that take our guests into the hardest-to-reach destinations,” says Theresa, “with Hidden Journeys, Trafalgar’s Insider Experience concept has been expanded to encompass smaller, more intimate accommodations and even harder-to-reach experiences that would be difficult or impossible with a larger group”.

Have you ever wanted to stay in a castle? On the Secrets of Ireland Trafalgar’s guests will stay in three different castles plus The Malton, which is also a featured Authentic accommodation. Ballynahinch Castle in Galway, Lough Eske Castle in County Donegal and Fizpatrick Casle in Dublin are castles where guest will stay and soak up hundreds of years of Ireland’s history overnight.

On the Secrets of Italy guided holiday guests will stay in the 47-room Albergo dell’Agenzia in Italy’s Piedmont region. The Albergo dell’Agenzia is in the heart of the slow food movement on a part of King Carlo Alberto of Savoy’s country estate is alongside the University of Gastronomic Sciences.

Trafalgar’s Hidden Journeys also offer Local Specialists such as Damien in Ireland, who is a specialist on the Irish poet and one of the foremost figures of 20th century literature WB Yeats. Over a delicious Be My Guest dinner, prepared by Paula, a noted chef, you will be enthralled as Damien talks you through all the writings of Yeats and why he is considered one of the greatest poets of the 20th century.

Secrets of Ireland is priced from R31 100 per person twin share for an 8 day guided holiday that visits Ireland and Northern Ireland.
